About OLO

OLO is a small tabletop turn tracker for board games. Every player gets a 2″ light-up button; when it is your turn, your button glows white. Press it when you are done and the next player's lights up. OLO works with Round Robin games, games where everyone plays at once, and games where the turn order changes each round.

The free OLO Turn Tracker app connects to the OLO hub over Bluetooth to set up games, choose turn order, name and color buttons, update firmware and see game stats (who took the longest). No buttons handy? Everyone can play on their own phone: one person starts a game in the app and the others join with a 6-character room code.

The app has no accounts and no ads. Read our Privacy Policy for exactly what it stores and sends.

Common questions

The app can't find my OLO hub

Make sure Bluetooth is on and the app has permission to use it (Nearby devices on Android, Bluetooth on iPhone — check your phone's Settings for the OLO app). Switch the hub on, keep the phone close to it, and pull down to refresh the hub list. If the hub was paired to another phone, ask its owner to add you, or join as a player.

A button won't connect to the hub

Check that the button is switched on and charged, then bring it near the hub. In the app, open Devices to see which buttons are connected and to pair a new one.

How do I update the firmware?

The app checks for updates when it connects to your hub and offers to install them. Keep the phone near the hub until the update finishes. Buttons are updated from the app the same way.

Where do I find the admin PIN?

Every hub has its own PIN. On the hub, open Settings → Show PIN. In a phone-only room, the person who started the room runs the game and everyone else joins as a player — no PIN needed.

Playing with phones only (room codes)

Tap "Host a game" to get a room code and read it out; everyone else taps "Join with code" and types it in. Each phone becomes a player's button. If someone's phone drops out mid-game, the host can play on without them or wait for them to rejoin with the same code.

Turning off usage stats or deleting my data

Anonymous usage stats can be turned off in the app's Settings. Everything else the app keeps lives on your phone; deleting the app removes it. To have anything we hold removed, email [email protected].
